[The Phantom God]

The forest of light is a small, cozy forest on the southern border of a rainforest. One can feel a soothing magical warmth overtake them as they enter, a cozy feeling that reassures them there is nothing to be feared here. This same magic pacifies most of the monsters in the area, or rather convinces more hostile monsters to tread elsewhere with its mildly inconveniencing effects. It is said that a "foot monster" is in charge of guarding the orb of light responsible for maintaining the forest's pleasant and welcoming demeanor. One can traverse it easily, with fallen logs penetrating the somewhat heavy underbrush to allow for easy access deeper into the forest. These logs are often hollowed out for this exact purpose, making it easy to tell when you are stepping off the intended trail for the most part.

To the north, a large pond is home to a friendly society of talking frogs ruled by a Frog King. Being rather weak, they depend upon the forest and its guardian for protection against stronger monsters. It is rumored that they might be able to aid someone in creating or obtaining items that might bestow the user with frog-like abilities, though the practical application of such things is unclear.
